The dog days of August are swiftly coming to an end. Book now to enjoy the changing of the leaves and autumn air. Weather is usually warm through October. Enjoy the creek that runs through my property or the clouds, wildlife or back deck. The Rock n Doze space is cozy, warm, comfortable 2-bedrooms in private hallway of my home w/ YOUR private bath and entrance. Share my kitchen and great room. Store food in my fridge. Wifi, secluded and quiet, 5 min. walk to town. My sweet beagle Toby.
The space
My property is one of the most private and scenic in town. All the willows around the creek on the side of my house provide a virtual wall around the property with no visibility from other homes around me. The house sits in the middle of four city lots. The creek in the backyard calls you to sit on the bank and comtemplate. My home is a perfect floor plan for hosting Rock n Doze guests. As you walk into the house through the mudroom, there is a private hallway which I rent to my guests. It consists of two beautifully decorated bedrooms and a private bath. Each room has a queen bed, a comfortable reading chair, full closet and a place for suitcases. The queen beds are brand new. European down comforter and pillows make the rooms very comfortable and cozy.
Guests are welcome and encouraged to use my living room and kitchen. My bedroom and bath are on the other side of the kitchen, completely separate from the rest of the house. So this listing is NOT a completely private apartment/house. I sleep here.
However, as you can read from my reviews, I received constant 5-star ratings for my space and my reputation as a host. If you read my profile, you will learn I have lived in the area for 35 years and have served as President of the Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Downtown Development Authority and am considered the creator of our most well known celebration, Frozen Dead Guy Days a three-day festival held the second weekend each March. In other words, I am full of local lore stories and obviously have a good lay of the land. I can recommend hike and ski trails for your ability. I also know most of the local population so I can connect you with people who can assist me in making your Nederland stay as customized as you would like it to be.
My house is really hidden from the road and in a very quiet neighborhood, yet still only three-four blocks from town businesses and services. I find almost all my guests appreciate such a short walk to food, saloons, dancing and music. As Nederland is in the Regional Transportation District (RTD) and the local Park and Ride Center is two blocks from my front door, it is possible to travel to Nederland without driving a car and walk to this Rock n Doze listing.
Guest Access
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and great room as well as the yard. Skis and bicycles can be stored in the detached garage. There is a washer and dryer as well as a gas fireplace.
Other Stuff
You will not regret booking this space. I feel like I live in a little slice of paradise. I have been so happy here. My guests tell me that they feel this is a place of healing.

I can not accept pets.
Smoking anything outside is fine with me. If you smoke tobacco, please ask for an ashtray.
Campfires need to be supervised by me. We often have fire restrictions in the summer.
I have an array of slippers in the mud room which is a nice way of saying please shed your shoes there.
Please do not arrive before 4pm check-in time unless you have asked and received special permission from me.
Please observe 11am check out time. I am 85% booked all year. I normally have another guest arriving the same day at 4pm.
